This weekend my husband and I will be celebrating our 8th Anniversary. I really wanted to make him a card, but, I was at a loss for ideas. I am not much of a card maker, so I turned to Pinterest for inspiration. I would love to know who came up with the original idea, so that I could photo credit them, but there are so many renditions of this card.
Anywhooooo. Here is my take on it.
Punch out your shape, or use actual puzzle pieces. Ink the edges so that they stand out a bit from each other. Fit the two together and tape them on the back. I used pop-dots to lift them from the background a bit.
Wrap some thread, string, yarn, or bakers twine around it a few times and put a wood veneer heart over the crossing point. I suggest putting a piece of tape over the back of the wrap so that it will stay in place.
Finished. Sweet and simple. Wish I could say the same about love and marriage… we all know that it is truly a puzzle to be solved. And boy, when all the pieces fit, it is a beautiful thing.
Thank you for reading.
Have a great weekend planting glitter.
